No we have not seen the lady again. I guess a few members know who she is and that every high-tide/full moon, she goes nuts. It was really weird. But we even have our land lord staying downstairs now. He came up and has been doing a lot of renovations on the property, house, etc. We have wanted to return and follow up with people, but just haven’t been able to or have had time. With the news Elders here, we just don’t get the truck too often anymore and it really limits our flexibility.
Our week has been okay. Our teaching pool hasn’t grown too much. We met a new family with a member who took us there, and that was good, but Pryanka Kumar we lost as an investigator because her uncle, who owns the land they stay on, has forbidden us to come on his property. It is really sad to see people that are so sunk into traditions that they want absolutely no change, even when they know and feel the truth of Christ. They just are so stuck with tradition that when undeniable truth is in front of them, they still deny it. So that was rough, but on the bright side, we have a new baptism date set for Paula! He will be baptized the 26th of this month!
Anyway, we are short on time again this week. Some other really sad news is that Sister Leishman has a major back problem that now they have to return to the US for surgery and probably wont be able to come back. They just got here, started their mission here, settled in, got to love the people, and they have to leave again. Now we are still unsure what will happen here in Naduna. Not even Pres. Klingler saw that coming. Naduna can’t yet run on its own and the senior couple plays a major role filling some of the responsibilities. So we may have a bit of extra work on us for a bit. We will have to see what happens. But today for their last P-day here, we are going to the Korovatu beach to play volley ball and spend the day with them. We are going to miss them a lot.
I love you! Moce vakalailai!
